While people from urban areas realize the role of education and aim to create a strong foundation for their young ones, rural India paints a different picture. It is not unusual to see countless villages where education is disregarded. People from these areas are oblivious to the concept of getting an education and prefer to overlook the potential of schooling their little ones. They are unaware of the opportunities after education. Hence, there is a crucial need to help them realize and create awareness about education.

Often, the reasons cited are poverty, the lack of funds and preparatory material. While the reasons may seem limiting, they are in no way the end to securing a child’s future. The underlying problem almost always remains the mental blocks in society. Residents in rural areas often urge their children to take up domestic tasks or help in labor, instead ofhelping them attain an education. This is why the illiteracy rate in India is not surprising.

While poverty, the lack of motivation, and access to the right material remain problems, another major antagonist in the fight for education remains the infrastructure. Rural villages seldom house schools that are within easy access. This pushes young children to walk to other villages, the long-term feasibility of which remains questionable. Gradually, most parents deny sending their children to school for this reason.

In an initiative to weed out this issue, Care India has taken the onus ofspreading awareness about the importance of education in villages. To motivate people further, we have worked to shed light on government policies and schemes, which have been implemented for their benefit. We conduct sessions and explain the students and their parents about the opportunities that arise after post education. We help them understand about the various jobs they can do after completing education.

Today, we provide educational facilities to more than 60 rural villages in India.We conduct educational campaigns and highlight the plethora of opportunities that lay in store for young kids. In an effort to build on our work, we identify students who are good at academics and provide them with the necessary support.

To back our role as an inclusive educational institution, we have rendered scholarships to deserving children who show an interest in attaining education but lack the financial support. Our purpose is to take education to the underprivileged children and empower them for life!

Project VIKAAS for Marginalized communities at Villages :-

Rohira village in Nuh district, Haryana before and after receiving help through our project VIKAAS. ‘Project VIKAAS; The project is three years old, was started in 2019 in Nuh district, Rohira village, Haryana with the aim of improving the living conditions of marginalized communities, and in its second phase now has spread to the villages of Naharpur and Gabanspur in Punhana. Project VIKAAS focusses on an integrated approach of well-being, including Education, Health, Livelihoods, Empowered the locals, Water conservation and improving farm livelihoods. The initiative has touched the lives of 1500 villagers beneficiaries till date promoting;

  • Education centre for educational Session and Classes on daily basis for Child Education,
  • Computer education Centre for Basic computer Knowledge,
  • Handicraft Skills Development Centre for Livelihood only for womens,
  • Health Awareness Centre Nutrition for good healthy balanced diet and basic testing.
  • Enhancing Farm productivity Session For Farm Livelihood mens and womens both.
  • Providing healthy learning environment improved the drinking water system in the village, has provided proper toilets, inculcated sanitation, and hygienic practices, promoting water-saving irrigation practices, making clean drinking water accessible.

Since 2019, Care India has been striving to bring about a change in the lives of the village locals at a time with constant support. The main focus is on creating positive changes, being educated and improving the lifestyle of people's in Rohira village through holistic rural development. The Project VIKAS team makes sure that in the course of this development and improving living conditions no harm or loss is made to the village peoples, As you seen in the picture schools and water chambers have been renovated. The team is helping the village in becoming sustainable and increasing its developmental rate without making sudden, major, uncomfortable changes that cannot be absorbed by the village people. Rather, small and slow steps are being taken keeping in mind the welfare of the local community.

On the day of the launch of Project VIKAAS, Care India commented how the Organisation is intrinsically linked to the education,health and resilience of the society. Added that the programs launch are relevant nationally and resonate with a global perspective, since Organisation have been working in this niche for about two decades. We are confident and optimistic about the upcoming better living conditions for the people of village.

The project will also take into account spreading correct information about the Covid 19 since 2020 to 2021 when the virus (COVID-19) spread out everywhere. The people's of Rohira village were not aware of the precautionary measure needed to stay safe and prevent the virus (COVID-19). This collaboration project will also shed some light on how to stay safe and protect themselves and their families.

As part of the vision of strengthening community-led rural development for positively impacting the lives of people, This three-year old project VIKAAS was launched in 2019 in the village of Rohira in Nuh district. In its second phase, the initiative is expanding to the villages of Naharpur and Gabanspur in Punhana block for improving the lives of the locals through holistic rural development.

Care India we strongly believe that an organisation purpose and values centre around doing good for communities today and for generations to come. As part of our commitment to building a healthier educated society, We launched Project VIKAAS, focussing on aspects that are crucial to rural welfare, for positively shaping lives. We are now expanding this initiative to two more villages and will be working closely with the local communities for their well-being. In addition to the ongoing initiatives, we also stepped up to the challenges.
